EMBL-EBI marked its 25th Anniversary with a day of celebration held in a marquee, containing interactive activities created expressly for this event. Each of the 13 activities were designed and produced by me, working in collaboration with scientific colleagues and third party suppliers over many months. The marquee itself contained a unique genome pathway floor, of my design, colour coded to delineate the activities. The activities I developed have been used subsequently at many public engagement events

In response to the Covid-19 emergency, EMBL-EBI created the COVID -19 Data Portal as a repository for Europe's research data. A collaborative project with ELIXIR and the European Commission. Though EMBL-EBI's wireframe was already in place. I created the data portal brand including a new logo, colour scheme and header image, followed by speaker Powerpoint templates
The EMBL-EBI 20th Anniversary Celebrations were held on the grounds of Hinxton Hall within a large marquee. Many high profile scinetific speakers and a set from comedian Robin Ince were heard throughout the day. I designed a 9 metre long timeline showcasing the history of achievements at EMBL-EBI and liaised with the printing team for its production and installation. In addition to the timeline I designed and commissioned the celebratory teardrop flags that were situated around the campus grounds
As part of Dame Janet Thornton's stepping down as Director of EMBL-EBI, an interactive event was held with a marquee in the grounds of Hinxon Hall, entitled "Handover on Data Mountain" . The players competed with a general knowledge quiz to make their way up the mountain to reach Janet at the peak. I designed the player maps, large scale backdrop artwork for the stage dressing and powerpoint artwork. A piece of bespoke jewellery was commissioned as a gift for Janet which I designed and the production of which I oversaw
With the intention of inspiring future scientists, EMBL-EBI's Rfam team have developed a fun engagement activity featuring three scanable characters revealing the RNA in each. I created cartoon versions of each item, designed and supplied artwork for the luggage case and pullup banner as well as reproducing all activity literature featuring the new cartoons and updated the layout and typeface choice
Held at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge and in collaboration with the EMBL-EBI PhD representative committee, I designed the posters for the event and supplied additional artwork for Twitter campaigns and campus information screens
